This is possible, though personal experiences disincline me to think all parents feel the same about their children (no offense meant - I understand that what you dealt with was an extremely intense and personal experience, and I don’t intend to downplay that!). Just as many kids don’t feel the same about their parents, despite the supposed universal nature of the experience.
